INSTANT POT Lamb Korma

Quick, Easy and Delicious!

My family loves this everyday dish and from start to finish it will only take you about 45 minutes.

What You Need:

  • 1 lb lamb kabob trimmed and cut into 1 inch pieces.

  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 medium onion finely chopped

  • 2 Tablespoon ginger finely chopped

  • 2 Tablespoon garlic finely chopped

  • 2 Tablespoon tomato paste

  • 1/4 cup coconut milk

  • 1/4 cup plain whole milk Greek yogurt (you can add more coconut milk and/or yogurt to make it less spicy)

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 2-3 teaspoons Garam Masala (adjust for your taste)

  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed Red Pepper flakes (adjust for your taste)

  • 1 teaspoon Paprika powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon Cardamon Powder

  • 1/2-1 teaspoon Salt (adjust for your taste)

  • 2 Tablespoons fresh chopped cilantro for garnish

How To:

  1. Peel and chop onions, garlic and ginger finely. You can do all of them together in a food processor. Trim and cub the lamb. Set aside.

  2. Turn your Instant Pot on SAUTE mode. Add oil and chopped onion-garlic-ginger mix. Saute for 1 minute, until onions turn clear. Add tomato paste and water. Add all spices and stir well.

  3. Add coconut milk and yogurt. Stir well.

  4. Add lamb.Stir well.

  5. Close Instant Pot, make sure your valve is set on sealing mode. Pressure cook for 15 minutes.

  6. Let pressure natural release itself.

  7. Serve with rice and/or naan bread, garnish with cilantro

  8. ENJOY!
